Ze gaven aan dat ze geen alcohol meer in huis hadden, waarop wij aangaven daar wel behoefte aan te hebben. Er werd wijn en bier voor ons gehaald. We wilden nog wat doen om de dag op te vullen, waarop het personeel een village tour voorstelde. We hebben een rondje door het buurtschap gelopen wat leuk was om te zien hoe de locals wonen. De curries waren heerlijk en het hotel ligt lekker in het groen!

Deze bungalow uit de jaren 30 van de vorige eeuw is gevestigd op een theeplantage van 40 hectare, aan de voet van de Knuckles-bergketen. Amila, the manager is one of the nicest and most professional persons I have the privilege to met during my time in Sri Lanka took very good care of us and I recommend not to miss the tea plantation tour and tea tasting with Mr. Das, the historic memory of this beautiful place. What else to add? Two nights weren’t enough but that’s a good reason to go back!
