I only stayed one night, but I would definitely come back. Dar Hafsa is in the middle of the Medina (about a ten-minute walk from the Blue Gate), yet tucked away on a quiet side street. The building itself was very charming, with multiple levels. I stayed in a one-bedroom and didn’t hear any noise at all. The heater/air conditioner kept the room perfectly warm—it can get quite chilly at night in Fes in November. The shower was also nice and hot. Mounir was an excellent host. He took very good care of me during my stay and made sure I got the most out of my short visit to Fes, offering lots of tips. I can definitely recommend this place to fellow travelers.

This Riad is beautiful, walking distance to market area and other attractions. The owner and the receptionist were extremely helpful and welcoming, offering us a great experience with them. We would definitely pick this place again in the future.

Small riad, in a strategic position of the Medina from which you can reach all the main attractions in a walking distance, yet still enough far from the chaotic center. Access is very easy, and a taxi drops you off just a few dozen meters from the door. The property is very cozy, with a beautiful, elegant lounge decorated in typical style. The terrace is also lovely, but we couldn't enjoy it due to the rather low temperatures. I imagine breakfast here in the spring must be wonderful. Our room was particularly spacious, but also bright and quiet, considering the typical riad architecture. Impeccably clean. It was a bit cold in November, but the heat pump worked perfectly. The breakfast was good, rich enough to have a good start into the day. I would have just added some fresh fruit. The staff is very friendly, kind, and helpful. Haitham “adopted” us, providing us with all the assistance and helpful advice we needed for a pleasant stay, always with great discretion and professionalism. We had a wonderful time and felt right at home. I would gladly return here to enjoy the pleasant and genuine atmosphere of Fes.

Staff were excellent. They arranged a English speaking guide for me and guide was excellent as well. For first time travelers staying in the Medina, get a guide for half a day. They show you all main parts of the Medina without getting lost, getting lost is part of the experience but to get most out your time. This isn't about Dar Attajalli itself but the experience of staying in the Medina. Due the Median having very narrow streets, cars can't drive to the Riad directly. Taxi takes you as close as possible to the Riad, from there a Porter in a buggy with take you and your luggage to the Riad. Since I had just arrived in Morocco, I didn't have small change, the staff paid the Porter and upon leaving when I tried to pay back, the staff didn't accept the fee for the Porter. It is difficult to describe the beauty of this place even if i am an arab. It is both a 13th century riad and a modern boutique hotel all in one. The riad is vast and the rooms are large and have soaring ceilings. The public areas are numerous with similarly large living areas . There are several terraces and a great pool area to sun yourself in. The rooms are luxuriously appointed. Upon entering the Riad you are immediately transformed from the hustle and bustle of the Fez medina to a place of calm relaxation. The staff will take care of any need you may have. They are all personable and caring. They even let you join the chefs in the kitchen to learn how to cook Moroccan specialties (no additional charge). Meals can be taken anywhere in the riad, your room, near the pool or the terraces. The main terrace is one of the highest points in the medina, affording panoramic views of the medina and Fez in general. The staff are happy to arrange tours (additional charge) and airport transfers. The drivers (we recommend Omar) and vehicles (luxury Mercedes vans) are first rate. Indulge yourself as we did.
