Hôtel Riad Dar Daïf is located 5 km from the centre of Ouarzazate and has views on the Atlas Mountains and the lake. Its furnished patio overlooks the outdoor swimming pool. Very unique riad/kasbah out of town. Good design and room. Breakfast is good with attentive staff.

This is a stunning small hotel with beautiful gardens and 7 rooms in the heart of the Skoura palmerie. Run by a Belgium woman and her French husband and with friendly local staff. Meals are excellent. Trips with local guides are worth doing. And they can organize trips further afield (they booked a desert camp overnight for is). I visited with my 11 year old son who thought it flawless and especially loved the semi-hidden retreat areas with rugs and cushions in the garden and on the roof. The animals in a corner of the garden and the pool are also great for families. We particularly enjoyed the guided cycle ride though the palmarie, stopping off at a tiny pottery for some hands-on clay throwing (small tip expected)

We had some interesting conversations with him about his family's life and work experience in Morocco. Everything is perfect. The dinner and the breakfast are fresh and tasty. My elder son also really enjoyed the cute animal farm. Do go and check out if you are traveling with kids.
