Located 300 metres from the main square and Mercaderes street and right behind the Monastery of Santa Catalina (built in 1579), Las Torres de Ugarte offers free Wi-Fi and buffet breakfast in central Arequipa. It combines modern and colonial decor. Great location in the centre of Arequipa. Everything was on walking distance. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They have a hotel turtle in the garden named Lola. Fantastic to see a 45 year old walk around when you get out of your bed every morning :-). Good breakfast, they make you your eggs of choice in the morning.

Set in a refurbished mansion with charming colonial style architecture, La Casa de Melgar is set in Arequipa’s historical district. Guests can relax in the garden or in the central courtyard with a stone fountain. Wi-Fi is free. La casa de Melgar Rooms are divided by beautiful little courtyards full of flowers and trees. The staff are welcoming and friendly and very helpful, in particular Lydia, who speaks good English, and organised an early check-in for our morning arrival on the Cruz Del Sur bus. She also booked a taxi for our departure, which was far better than dealing with uber. There are a number of laundries just nearby which is very convenient when you are travelling around a lot. This hotel is a very tranquil place to stay in a big busy city. We had two very good night’s sleep owing to the peace and quiet. Our room was enormous 22 feet by 16 feet with a fine arched brick ceiling 12 to 15 feet high. The extremely comfortable double bed measured a huge 7 foot by 7 foot with four - nice! Everywhere in this hotel is filled with old world character and charm. From the 11 foot high double French doors with shutters to the thoughtful provision of a wardrobe, bedside tables, 2 sofas, a desk and a rack to put your baggage on. The solid thick stone walls are cool by day in the summer and warm at night. However, the 18th century styling does not in any way compromise the modern facilities. Wi-Fi is strong and consistent. There are electrical sockets all around the room for charging phones. The rooms are well lit. The large en-suite bathroom has a strong shower over a bath with lots of hot water. A hairdryer, clean fresh towels and soft loo roll are all provided free of charge and the room is impeccably clean at all times.

Arequipa's main square is 300 metres away. It is really beautiful boutique hotel, right in the centre of Arequipa. Spacios rooms with everything you need. Stuff also kind and helpful. They allowed us to checkin at 10am. They also provide breakfast take away for early trips. Really good value for money. Exellent buffet breakfast, the best we had in our trip.

Excellent staff and restaurant and breakfast were equally good

The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. Yanque is beautiful- great walks, ruins and hot springs to soak away any soreness from hiking. This is a real gem of a place to stay. It is very professionally run and all the staff are lovely and really attentive and helpful. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable and tranquil. The restaurant food is great, as was the breakfast. We had booked for 2 nights but stayed for 3. Thank you Miskiwasi.

Room service is also available. Wonderful place, super friendly staff that makes sure you are being taken care of, and the view from our room was just breathtaking. They take outstanding care of the property, too, growing variety of flowers, and everything is spotless clean. Their Quinoa restaurant serves the best meals we ve tasted during our three week trip. Located in the traditional neighbourhood of Yanahuara in Arequipa, Posada Nueva España offers accommodation in a colonial house from 1810, only a 5-minute walk from the city centre on a traditional and very quiet street. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Large historic family compound with 15 - 20 en suite rooms. A 10 to 15 minute walk to the historic sites. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff with Antonio in the lead are excellent.

At La Hostería Boutique Hotel, guests are a 5-minute walk from the historic district, just across from Santa Catalina Monastery. They can enjoy a red-tiled terrace with mustard walls, potted plants and flowers or relax in the nicely decorated living room. Everything was great. Stunning property, clean and comfortable room, great breakfast, good location! I mean, every corner of the property was worth a picture, and having breakfast in the beatiful garden starts your day in such a nice way!
