Theresa was such a brilliant hostess, she made it feel like home.Breakfast was just right to set you up for the day. The food in the evenings was beautifully prepared. I would definitely recommend Casa de Proteas for a beautiful and relaxing holiday destination.

The hotel has a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. The staff was Excellent. They went out of their way to help to recommend outstanding restaurants, activities and the happy hour was fantastic to meet other travelers. The location is excellent.

The outdoor terrace provides spectacular views of sunsets or leisurely breakfasts in the morning sun. Guests can also eat outdoors by the pool. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club. The location is simply unbeatable — perched on the edge of the ocean with breathtaking views and easy access to both nature and nearby attractions. What truly made the stay exceptional was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay as pleasant as possible. Their hospitality exceeded all expectations. The tennis court, set against the backdrop of the sea, is very nice. The pool area down by the ocean is spectacular. It’s peaceful, beautifully designed, and feels like your own private retreat. Very good restaurant as well. We were lucky enough to extend our stay by two extra nights, and so grateful we did. It gave us more time to soak in the peaceful atmosphere and enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. We will definitely be back. This place is a true gem.

This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. Free WiFi and free covered private parking are available. Location is close enough to walk to restaurants & the centre but far enough to be away from it all. Breakfast out on the veranda was plentiful, tasty, with a beautiful view. The staff, especially Nuno were 1st class.

The rooms’ balconies offer views of the scenic gardens or the Atlantic Ocean. All rooms are equipped with telephone, mini-bar, safe, cable TV and a hair dryer. Great atmosphere compared to larger, more modern hotels. We hiked a lot, but could easily have had a great vacation, staying only at this hotel. The restaurant was really great too
