The Hotel da Oliveira is within the historical Guimarães city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Guimarães Castle, the city’s most iconic landmark is 150 metres away. Everyone is good. They also offered me breakfast box as i had to leave early for my flight. Really impressive.

Located within Guimarães city wall, in a manor house from the 18th century, Casa do Juncal combines history with modern comfort and elegance. The Casa do Juncal is a real gem. Perfect location to explore Guimarães, so close to absolutely everything in the old town. The hotel was charming as was our room, bed was fantastic as was the sitting room and bathroom. The staff were exceptionally lovely, very helpful and went out of their way to help, as was Ana who manages the bookings and everything else. Our breakfasts in the breakfast room were more than we could eat, and the garden was great even in the rain.

Casa Manuel Espregueira e Oliveira ligt in een voetgangersgebied in het centrum van Viana do Castelo. Breakfast was fabulous. Location, exceptional. Right in the middle of the town. Owner and her husband spoke little English but other employee was always accessable and very helpful. Much history to the home and the staff shared that with much pride. We took an UBER from Porto but then took the bus back to the Porto Airport. Very dooable. We loved the city of Viana do Castelo. Such a relaxing and more Portuguese place that Porto. Lots to see.

Beautiful windows with a peaceful view of the historic downtown. Quiet location, very close to the river. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was very filling. This was one of my favorite stops along the Camino.

Situated between the city of Braga and the Gerês Mountain Range, this luxurious hotel is a former Cistercian Monastery of the XII century. Facilities include an outdoor pool and a tennis court. Everything, such a perfect dreamy experience. I can't wait to be back.
