This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The place was wonderful with great view and cozy. Margarida is very warm hearted host always trying to help in any situation. She gave us good recommendations of activities and restaurants in the area. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruits and homemade bread. The wine tasting hosted by Luis was memorable. Unlike any typical tour, it was more of a personal storytelling experience, where Luis shared his own passion and knowledge .

Accommodation at Morgadio da Calçada is set in former sheds scattered through small patios. They were renovated to provide comfort with parquet floors, satellite TV and wrought-iron beds. Each private bathroom includes free toiletries and a hairdryer. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in the Douro valley. It was perfect. Couldn't ask for more. We will definitely come again.
