It's very spacious and I especially liked how this allowed the communal spaces to be designated for different purposes - a cosy reading nook, a dining area, and a TV area with good couches (which would be perfect if the hostel had its own Netflix account, as the TVs pretty useless if you don't have one of your own). There's a terrace space to line-dry clothes, and full laundry facilities. Showers are hot. Elevator is fast to arrive. Coffee & tea provided.

The staff was friendly and tried their best to assist us in English, at some point my friend and I needed an iron and it was provided. The twin-room was cozy, beds comfortable and room was clean. We didn’t eat breakfast so we can’t leave a review on food.

Only a 4-minute walk from Kaohsiung Railway Station, Kindness Hotel - Kaohsiung Main Station offers comfortable accommodation with an easy access to explore the city. Great value for money hotel! The breakfast is included, and you have the option of packing your breakfast to-go. If taking breakfast to-go, the staff hand you 2 boxes and a cup for a drink, and very helpfully pack everything up with cutlery for you. The beds in the rooms are comfortable and spacious enough. There is also a rest area / cafe on the first floor that has free-flow hot drinks, biscuits and ice-cream 24/7, and you are able to claim one beer/juice per day per room. The washing machines and dryers are also free to use.

Perfect location for attending events at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts – Weiwuying and just a short walk to the MRT. The room was tidy, clean, and very comfortable. Service was excellent, and the free afternoon buffet was a delightful bonus. Highly recommended!
