Excellent hotel, excellent location, professional and helpful staff. Spacious and clean rooms, excellent food. The stay at the hotel was very good.

We booked a room, but were graciously upgraded to a suite for free. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy. We also had a lovely family of deer visit us just outside the property every morning! The location was superb, walking distance from main street. Will definitely be back to visit!

The hotel is in the center of San Antonio, right next to the Alamo. It is an historical hotel; the oldest West of the Mississippi. It was well maintained with exceptional architecture and cleanliness. The staff is friendly and very helpful, especially Tim Smith at the front desk. There is a lovely buffet available for lunches and brunches; one needs 2-3 stomachs to try everything. The hotel boasts a pool and a garden that you can sit in to read your paper. What will strike you when you first enter is the lovely scent, which was especially designed for it. The hotel is definitely value for money, and better than most 4-star hotels in New York.
