The Oystercatchers Haven at Paternoster is situated right on the beach and just 2 minutes' drive from the village centre of Paternoster. It offers a plunge pool and en-suite rooms with sea views. Everything!!!! The guest house is just above the beach. The view of the beach is stunning! We had sea views from our rooms from every angle! There were sunbeds right outside our rooms, close to the pool. We received a warm welcome on arrival and the place is spotless. The decor is very tasteful, old world mixed with modern. We had coffee/tea making facilities in our rooms. Breakfast was delicious and so beautifuly presented! The bathrobes and our bed linen turned down for us were just another added touch! I highly recommend The Oystercatcher's Haven!

We stayed in the new pool/garden rooms, which were spotless and well appointed, with a kitchenette, a sitting area and bath and very comfortable beds and plenty of good lighting. The main house is lovely, with a sitting room with a TV (Netflix) and an honesty bar available. Art work decorating the rooms is by local artists and available for purchase. Guests have access to a pool and lovely gardens on the grounds, plus off street parking. Stephan, one of the owners, greeted us and made us feel very welcome, providing helpful information about nearby restaurants and wine farms. Breakfast was delicious, a buffet for self service with a selection of juice, yogurts, granola, fresh fruit, cheese & meats, breads for toast and a Jura coffee machine, and/or hot breakfast made fresh from the kitchen. Due to load shedding excellent plunge pot coffee was offered in lieu of the coffee machine. The food was perfectly prepared and well-presented, with attention to detail not often seen in this type of accommodation. the Darling Lodge Guest House truly felt like an oasis and I recommend it highly to anyone traveling in the area!

We arrived and were welcomed with such a warm welcome by Arnold and his team. Our room was clean, modern and really cozy. Ah! Guest House went the extra mile by adding a bottle of bubbly for our anniversary. From the time we stepped in the door we felt right at home. You would think the room and place was exceptional wait until you try Arnold's breakfast. It blew our minds. Everything he makes is homemade from the yogurt, granola, pistachio ice cream and even the shortbread cookies in your room. We will definitely be recommending Ah! Guest house to everyone we know and we will be back. Arnold and his team have left a footprint in our hearts. A million times thank you for this amazing experience, it was truly memorable.

Located in the heart of Paternoster and overlooking the tranquil bay, nearby restaurants and the local waterfront. The location steps from the ocean was fantastic. Great view and the hosts were very nice.

Jan the manager was extremely helpful and helped us with another booking in February. All the staff were most friendly. The room was comfortable and especially the bed. The parking was easy.

Everything was great as as others have said. But I want to point out to potential future guests how perfectly orientated this property is. Because it faces north it gets the best of the sun during the day without blinding sunsets, so you really can enjoy the view all day long. Plus it is well protected from the infamous Cape southeaster wind. The proximity of a rocky outcrop provides the added visual interest of waves breaking and birds gathering. There is direct access to the lovely shoreline path with its local flora (some with nicely annotated name tags) and birdlife. Apart from the marine animals (seals, dolphins) and birds (including the distinctive African Black Oystercatcher, of course) we were delighted by an apparently semi-resident tortoise and visits by guinea fowl and a steenbok.

It's perfectly situated to be able to walk to the beach and down the main street to restaurants and shops. The room was very spacious, clean with everything you would need.. we really enjoyed our stay.
