The house was amazing in a very relaxing area, ideal for those who look for tranquility. Our host was very kind and he was so helpful to suggest the best sightseeings in Salzburg. The house is very modern and it has a very good layout to give sufficient rooms for the family members to stay. The beds were super comfortable. by car it was just few minutes to go to the center. in the near there is a very good traditional restaurant with excellent hospitality and dishes.

The house is located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The view from the terrace is amazing! It’s a great accommodation for someone who prefers to stay a bit outside of the city to enjoy the nature but still with an easy access to the city to visit whenever you feel like (about 20-30 mins walking). The house was beautiful, you can tell that the host is paying attention to small details which makes the place so special :) You need to remember that this is a small old house so don’t expect luxury like in a 5 star hotel. But you can definitely feel the spirit and a great vibe of a cottage house ☺️

Quirky hotel with friendly staff and breakfast. Ten minute walk to the bus stop which goes to the town centre with a bus pass provided by the hotel. Unique brutalist interior with wall art was right up my street. The room was odd, shape, and quiet, but the balcony was great. This is not the average chain hotel experience. Great parking.

We loved everything about Gasthof Maria Plain! We had no idea where it was located in relationship to Salzburg, but we had admired the church from the road as we came in. Imagine our surprise when we saw we were going up that hill towards the church. Parking was easy & convenient. The second surprise is that the hotel had its own charming Christmas market. The rooms were clean & comfortable, & every room had a breathtaking view. The fact that we arrived after a big snow storm just added to the beauty. It was a short & inexpensive cab ride to central Salzburg. The restaurant had a good menu, great food & reasonable prices. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We will be back next spring!
