Elegant, beautiful and classy. Staff were kind and helpful. Bar was great and food at Luna was done well. Rooms were absolutely cosy, there are other 5 star hotels that we’ve stayed and this one takes the cake. We will be recommending this hotel to others and will be our hotel to go to when we are in Adelaide!

Location in the hills gave us a very comfortable experience with easy access to hiking, village activities, and relaxation. included breakfast had limited selections but enough to keep us well fed and ready to explore. The "turndown service" with a glass of port and handmade chocolate ended each day with a lovely note.

Quiet room, only heard anything if anyone was directly outside the door speaking. Also a very clean and comfortable room. They did the wonderful kindness of a free bottle of champagne for NYE. Very thoughtful. Staff were absolutely excellent. There's a great Cafe around the corner as well called the butterfly table. Check it out. Location was great, close enough but also far away enough from everything. Also the parkland are right there so you can go for a nice walk or a run if you like.

Adelaide is a pretty city that has been planned for the citizens. Everyone is happy there. You can get help from anyone. People are polite, walking around is lovely. The beaches are not over crowded and the city centre is well organised. The only downside to Adelaide is the food. If you are a foodie, go to Melbourne. If you are an outdoors person, this is the place to be. Lovely city, but food is plain.

Look – we know it's not Sydney or Melbourne, but then – Sydney has its own attractions and reasons to visit, so does Melbourne – and so does Adelaide. It's a city that's coming into its own – great bars and top restaurants – that are easy to get in and get to – and some of the most beautiful coastline in the country (despite the algae bloom)...the airport is such a breeze to get through and is only 20mins ($20-$30) from the CBD...and this review cannot end without mention of the wineries and cellar doors...and again, so close – the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale ones especially – like having the Hunter and Yarra Valleys on your doorstep...

Previous experience of Adelaide was mainly as a place visited because of business necessity. This time it was to enjoy the Ashes test cricket and the CBD, and with the lovely weather encountered, both were excellent. There are plenty of good restaurants to suit all pockets and tastes (especially Italian!), and plenty of interest in the CBD and its surrounds to keep the mind active. People are very friendly to both internationals and "inter-staters". On top of all that, it is a truly beautiful city.

Adelaide is lovely relaxed city beautifully laid out with lots of green spaces and good transport. Glenelg is a very relaxing venue ideal for a few days to recover from the long flight and get acclimatised. Huge range of restaurants catering for all tastes and some were even reasonably priced!

Awesome value for money. One of the cheapest nice hotels in Adelaide but still a nice, clean room in a great location. We really appreciate the free parking, which is rarely found at hotels these days. Love that there are complimentary snacks and drinks as well. We also really appreciate that it can accommodate our growing family with the twin double beds, which is also tricky to find in the average hotel.

Good location in the Adelaide CBD. But given there are probably 50 other real hotels with equally or better locations in the CBD that is hardly a recommendation.
