Perfectly located in Zug’s old town by the lake, this hotel is a gem. The rooms are immaculate, stylishly renovated, and come with a gorgeous Nespresso machine—small detail, big joy. The brasserie downstairs is excellent, and the staff throughout are warm, attentive, and clearly take pride in what they do. Lovely breakfast too. Great value for this level of comfort and charm.

The property is set in a stunning area. Whilst Switzerland in general is extremely picturesque, you cannot beat the views which are on your door stop. You are set on Lake Zug with views of the surrounding mountains. Whilst slightly off the beaten track it is easy accessible with the train station a short 5 minute walk away with good connections. Not that you’d know because you don’t hear the trains! You can swim in the pool or take a swim in the lake or even better… paddle boarding! The outdoor area is well decorated with the sun setting down throughout the day. The property itself is designed for couples but is well designed, clean and modern. The host is happy to be contacted throughout the stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again despite being on the pricier side which I think is currently a fair value.

The rooms where really spacious with lots of natural light and we were able to fully open the windows. The facilities were comfortable. Beds were comfortable as well, the bathroom was spacious and tidy.

Surrounded by the impressive panorama of the Zugerberg Plateau and the Swiss Alps, the Parkhotel is just a 2-minute walk from Zug Train Station.
