Staff was friendly, extremely helpful and patient. Location in the middle of old town, lots of restaurants, shops, etc. We loved living in an historical preserved courtyard house. Breakfast was ok, local warm cooked food as well as bread. Local coffee was very good.

The reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and speak very good English which is rare even in bigger cities and more expensive hotels, so very unusual that both have excellent English. The reception staff alone make this hotel a solid choice if you don't speak Mandarin and will need help finding your way around or booking cabs, finding restaurants and other places.

We had a nice stay here. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We arrived late, and one of the staff walked us to a solitary restaurant that was still open. He didn't just give us directions, he walked us there himself :) Rooms were a good size. Comfy bed, good shower. Located a short walk from the old city walls. There is a washing machine you can use, you can hang clothes on the rooftop
