Hotels in Baisha Old Town, Lijiang

Very friendly and helpful hotel operators with lots of tips for hiking routes. Both Chinese and English is spoken. The hotel is located 30 meters from the main shopping street but still absolutely quiet. Clean rooms. It was a very pleasant stay. Baisha as one of the 3 old towns of Lijiang is the ideal starting point for hikes into the Yulong Mountains and yet not far from Lijiangs historical old town.

Everything about this property is perfect. The place feels like home, the bed is clean and comfortable. The room is spacious and the bathroom is clean and very modern. The uncle from the Inn will also meet you at the gate of the Old town and help you out with your luggage. But most of all, Mandy (manager) is super duper friendly and will help you out a lot. She managed to book me a last minute tour to the Yulong Snow Mountain. You can also do your laundry for free! Mandy helped me out to transfer my clothes to the dryer as I was exhausted coming from the day tour. She also prepared breakfast for me to take. This is the best Inn I’ve stayed so far. Will definitely come back!!

I am very particular in choosing a place to stay for our travel. One of the owners, Arlin has been very active in communicating with me through email and wechat, answering all of my queries and requests. So that little act of service helped to convince me to book them. They offered a free pick up service from train station and they also has a porter service to help you carry your luggage all the way to your room. Upon arrival, i was super stoke because the hotel is exactly how they advertised in the website. They offered a bit more contemporary design while staying true to the traditional theme. We were greeted warmly with tea and i guess only the owner can converse in english but the workers arent. But despite the lack of english, we made do with translation app. Our room is spacious and clean with no speck of dust, our balcony is facing the old town street and literally you can just go out from the hotel and immediately shop. The hotel also very modern in a sense that they have a control button for their curtain anddd i cannot stress this enough, they HAVE AUTOMATED TOILET WITH THE FREAKING HOLY BIDET AND DYSON HAIRDRYER. Being a Malaysian, having a bidet is a must so to my fellow Malaysian traveller, im vouching for this hotel. Their toilet paper is 4 ply. They also have washer + dryer machine located at the ground floor, free to use, so another plus point there. I washed my clothes everynight, and then hang out with the owner while waiting for my laundry. They offered free breakfast, but seeing we are muslim, he switched the local breakfast with pastries instead. They always prepared free candies, local fruits and tea at the receptionist which i always took whenever i went out. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, it is very near to the main road, the iconic water wheel and dashi bridge. The attentiveness and care they provided for their guests, answering every questions no matter how silly they sounded, has really won it for me. Will come again!

Big Tree felt like our home in Lijiang. The manager Joye and the staffs took very good care of us. There were very thoughtful selfservice tea and coffee sets prepared for guests. Will stay here again for sure!!!

The hospitality provided by all the staff was amazing, particularly from the energetic Mr. Joye, who happily arranged all our transportation, responded to all my inquiries, and even prepared breakfast for our tour. Additionally, I greatly appreciated the location of our stay, which had a cozy atmosphere and was situated in a fantastic spot. Unlike other accommodations I had in the old town of Lijiang, it wasn't as crowded or noisy.

I am very lucky to have booked the Lijing Gemmer hotel. The enthusiastic service makes me feel relaxed. The location and environment are good, and the room is also very satisfactory.

A very satisfactory accommodation, with clean rooms, well-equipped facilities, and separate wet and dry bathrooms. The salesperson was particularly enthusiastic and patient in recommending delicious food to us, even saving me the time to do a strategy. It was great, strongly recommended!

Our stay was amazing. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location to explore the old town. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Jimmy, in particular, made our stay even better. He answered every question we had, organised everything, was a tour guide for the day, and gave us great restaurant recommendations. We just really loved the Bivou. I read very good reviews, but still the place exceeded my expecations. If I am ever going to write my memoires, I will do it here:) This place just breaths tranquility. We loved the little vegetable gardens in front of the hotel, the staff was extremely helpful and the area around the hotel is really lovely. I travelled the whole world and Le Bivou definitely makes it to my worldwide top 5.
