Jayson was a fantastic host. My dad had a fall and he personally escorted us to the hospital and stayed with us throughout. We were very touched by his sincerity and grateful for his help. He also planned our day tour to chengkan and huangshan and the package was reasonably priced. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fulfilling and a good mix of western and chinese food. Everyone in the hotel was kind and approachable. We felt very welcome. I would give it a score of 11!

Excellent location in the traditional part of the city where artisans, craftspeople and great food choice was right there. A famous location. Great in the early evening. Rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. The manager was helpful with good English. I especially appreciated that she took the initiative to return my glasses when I ( idiotically) left them there.

Wonderful, small and friendly hotel. Views over the river. Simple but tasty food and very accommodating of two of us being vegetarian. This was our favourite hotel throughout our travels in China.

Centrally located, around the corner from the old town and close to many restaurants. Room was modern, comfortable and tastefully appointed. The staff was very kind and went out of their way to help in my every needs.

An indoor pool, well-equipped fitness centre are available at Crowne Plaza Huangshan Yucheng in Tunxi District. The spacious and modern air-conditioned rooms all come with free wired internet.

Traditional old Chinese courtyard guesthouse right in the middle of the old town. Bookit if you want to immerse yourself in the old town. The building is 200 year old so don't expect the hotel chain room experience.

Bed was nice, the staff was very friendly and helpful with giving us directions as to where restaurants are and how to get to the popular tourist attractions such as the Old Street or how to get to the high speed train station. She even mentioned how much it would cost when going by taxi so we wouldn't get scammed. Optional breakfast was very cheap and you can eat as much as you need for only 10 rmb.
