beautiful rooms, many perks that come with it : one delicious free beer every night from the bar next door, apparently a pool access at the hotel nearby, and super kind staff that speaks great English and accommodating with our requests. good location, and they even brought us cheesecake one night for my friend’s birthday!
rooms have larger toiletry bottles instead of the classic small ones, so it’s better for the environment :)

Overall my recent stay at Intercontinental Kuming is with absolute satisfactory. Especially I was very happy for the assistance by the Concierge te4am. Mr Smulin was very helpful to me such as buying new air tickets to other city of China and further amendments as well as arrangement for my airport transfer. He was always very active with quick responses, willing to help and did his best. If I was asked, I would give him and his concierge team at Intercontinental Kuming the full score 10 out of 10. The hotel is in a good location, close to the Kunming station. The reception and concierge are very polite and enthusiastic.

Prompt service, friendly staff, sincere effort to make you comfortable. Special mention of Mr James Ding, Mr. Kevin Lee the manager friendly boss and extremely polite and humble. We planned to stay for only 3 nights but because of their hospitality and friendly gesture we extended our stay by 2 nights.. we have stayed in many hotels around the world but never found such a wide spread of breakfast with so many varieties to cater for Chinese and international taste. Even got my breakfast customized to my taste.

The rooms are spacious, nice and clean with very comfy beds. Breakfast is excellent with great choice. Staff is nice and at reception there is always at least one English-speaking person. The hotel is a good option if you want to have some relaxing days outside the city center, but without problem to go there (approx. 30 minutes taxi ride). Restaurants can be found directly opposite the hotel or approx. 2 km away at the lakeside.

Its around 30min by taxi to the location. Location wise is in the city center, there is a shopping mall opposite the property and there are a few shops surrounding it. Checkin was easy, but prepare 200yuan for safety deposit. The room is clean and spacious.

Amazing hostel, I wholeheartedly recommend it. I stayed in a private room and honestly the room was like a room in a hotel, rather than a hostel. Super clean room and bathroom, big comfy bed, spacious bathroom. The staff was also amazing and very helpful. 10/10
