First of all, you can feel the luxury from the moment I entered the hotel. When you enter the door, a delicious smell welcomes you. Then I went to the reception and a receptionist named Nilo welcomed me. She was really attentive, helpful and kind. I think this could be your home in Shanghai.

The location is great, just need a bit time to find the place for the first time. There are few shopping mall nearby within walking distance 5 minutes. The building out looking is a bit old, but the inside is great and Morden. It is actually a local residential building, therefore do not expect for a reception.

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Shanghai Pudong was simply perfect in every way. The hotel represents absolute excellence in terms of comfort, elegance, and service. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine kindness and warmth that made us feel immediately at home. I would like to give special thanks to Mr. Luigi, who truly stood out for his professionalism and kindness. He was always available, attentive to every detail, and treated us with exceptional care. His thoughtful and friendly attitude made our experience even more memorable. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, with a stunning view over the Huangpu River. Breakfast was outstanding—rich, varied, and of the highest quality—with impeccable service from the always-smiling staff. I would not hesitate to recommend the Mandarin Oriental Shanghai Pudong to anyone seeking a truly luxurious experience, complemented by sincere, professional, and attentive service. The J Hotel Shanghai Tower delivers a truly elevated experience, both literally and figuratively. My upgraded Stateroom was a showcase of refined modern luxury, with a glossy dark floor, cream and gold accents, a superbly comfortable bed, and an elegant bathroom featuring a marble-bench rain shower and sculptural bathtub. Every detail was thoughtfully considered – from the Nespresso machine and premium minibar to whisper-quiet climate control and fully electronic curtains and lighting. The views over the Huangpu River and Shanghai’s skyline, especially by day, were simply breathtaking. Breakfast was outstanding, combining a refined buffet with à la carte options, fresh berries, multiple nut varieties, unsweetened yoghurt, and exceptional service. Staff throughout the stay were attentive without intrusion, anticipating needs before they were voiced. The bar offered spectacular river views, superb cocktails, and a refined atmosphere once the live music began. A takeaway breakfast box prepared for my early departure was beautifully presented and freshly made – a wonderful gesture.

Very fancy hotel in the center of the city. Huge room with walking closed, separate shower and huge bath. Bedroom bus very huge as well, all is very well designed.
