I had a great stay at Cendre Hotel. The room I had was very comfortable and very clean. Had everything I needed. The staff were very helpful with many suggestions for my stay in Suzhou. The hotel has co-living spaces and work spaces throughout the hotel both indoor and outdoors. It has a nice outdoor garden area to relax in. Laundry facilities were also available. This is great for digital nomads and longer stays. The breakfast was very good, lots of choices and everything was delicious. You can walk about 10-15 mins to bus stop, subway stop, Tiger Hill and the top of Shantang Old Street. 10mins away is a convenient store. Maybe 15-20 min walk is Lingering Garden. Highly recommend.

super helpful staff, they gave us a very friendly welcome and tips around the area, as well as helped receive a package for us and keep things at the front desk for pickup.
there‘s no elevator but they will help you with luggage, and were always very nice. the apartment is located conveniently to the subway and very close walking distance to the gusu old town district where most of the sightseeing spots are. it‘s not directly in the main tourist street tho, so it‘s relatively quiet, and had all the facilities needed. the room was quite big, comfortable for 2 persons. it‘s made of wood and has a modern chinese style interior design. would book again :)
