Staying at Heitan was a lovely experience allowing a calming and relaxed getaway from Xiamen city. It was lovely to drink tea under the trees in the courtyard and to bask in the atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were also very friendly and helpful, they kindly met us at the pier from where our ferry arrived and helped direct us to the hotel. As it was winter solstice, they also kindly made us delicious tang yuan to celebrate.

The building was beautiful, the bed comfortable and the staff were amazing! The lovely guy on reception gave me a great dinner recommendation, then went above and beyond to post some items to my next stop that I’d left behind! So helpful, generous and kind. Hotel is in close proximity to the tourist spots, and I highly recommend staying in the beautiful spot of you have a long layover in Xiamen!

Amazing hostel! For the cheap price you get a super clean, modern room and bed. The bathrooms were spacious and clean as well. I didn't really know what to expect before arriving but I was surprised by the good quality of the place. I wish more hostels around the world offered the same services for the price!

The rooms are modern, big and clean. Area is quiet, couple of minutes away from the beach. The host, Ellie, is probably the best one I have ever had. She is always there to assist you, no matter the time, no matter the inquiry. She does everything to make you feel like a local in the island. Staying in her hotel is a must if you visit Xiamen. -Clean spacious room with fruit and snacks provided each day. -Buffet style breakfast was ample, large choice of hot and cold food and drinks. -Great central location - 20 mins to the airport and Wu tong ferry port. Next to Xiamen train station and 5 mins walk to metro and BRT. -staff were excellent - 小張 was especially kind to us during our stay.
