Amazing value for the money. It’s basically an apartment with balcony area in a quiet courtyard. The room is so beautifully decorated with foam mattress, kitchen sink, kettle, fridge, safe, slipper, bathrobe, free tea, coffee, even coke, milk and muesli. You check in at nearby cafe. However, the owner is not on site so it’s really like Airbnb. So the package I sent to myself was supposedly delivered to the hotel address but no one knows and forever lost. I should have communicated with the owner beforehand.

Room, breakfast, facilities all excellent. The bar is a "must have" were it only for the spectacular views of the Alster and the city. We treated ourselves also to a dinner in the Lakeside restaurant. Great menu, very creative and delicious dishes, and the wine pairing offered was for the most part super.

The bedroom was cosy and the bed had a very comfortable mattress. Breakfast had great variety of fresh products in a buffet service. The cleaning service was excellent and the staff was always helpful.

I had a lovely room with window to the inner yard, vintage furniture and a bathtub, which was one of the highlights of my trip. Lovely staff, comfy bed, cannot tell you about breakfast as I am very picky, but there is plenty to chose from, fruit, pastry, oatmeal, yoghurts, juices, tea/coffee, boiled eggs from what I recall. Walking down the hall to the rooms you can feel the genius loci. I just loved it.

The building has lots of beautiful character. Very modern in deco, and spacious room and bathroom. Great when traveling with a big group. Super comfy beds. The room had everything you need, and if anything is missing, the very friendly staff will organize it. The place was very clean!
