A true gem on the "Altstadtinsel" of Lübeck. One of the oldest buildings in Lübeck and renovated with a lot of taste to a very high standard. The room was of a decent size, the bed was very cozy, the breakfast was not a buffet, but was brought to your table. Everything was of a very high quality and very tasty.

We had a wonderful stay at The Layhead B&B! The thing we appreciated most was how warm and welcoming the owners were—our kids didn’t want to leave! If you’ve ever traveled with children, you’ll know how rare and valuable it is to find a place that’s truly kid-friendly, including staff who genuinely enjoy having children around. On arrival, the owner took the time to give us a great introduction to Lübeck, showing us a bunch of local highlights on a map—which made exploring the city so much easier and more fun. The breakfast was perfectly set up and thoughtfully tailored to our preferences. The Layhead B&B is one of those rare finds that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in.

Beautifully renovated huge period apartment - feels like living large. Tastefully decorated with lots of extras (gifts on arrival, plenty of fluffy white towels for our family of four, slippers to use, basically anything you may have forgotten). The location is absolutely unbeatable. Only those in the front bedroom may be disturbed by the night bus traffic, however the double windows help with this - maybe more of an issue in summer? The bathrooms are cleverly renovated and modern, with a wonderful rain shower in the one and mood lighting. Location location location - again except for the parking situation (not for people who want to park in front of the door) absolutely ideal for exploring the beautiful city of Lübeck.

The staff was very service minded, helpful and pleasant. The design at the hotel are great and the atmosphere in the bar, restaurant area is fantastic. the location are in middle of old town of Lubeck and nearby restaurants and sightseeing spots.

This hotel lies directly on a branch of the River Trave, opposite the Music and Congress Hall and a 5-minute walk from Lübeck's Old Town.
