Basic rooms but perfectly comfortable! Beds have 4 fleecy blankets on. We had a shared bathroom and you only shared with one other room. Absolutely spotlessly clean! The bathroom was cleaned before we even got up. We had washing done, which was done in just a few hours and smelt great. Breakfast was really good value. Definitely recommend paying a small price for this. The location was good, bars and restaurants close by. Easy to get into the old town. Bus terminal a little but far but very easy to get a bus too. Hotel itself very safe and secure with a gate and locked door which is manned 24/7. Staff very friendly and helpful.

This property was a stunning location to have as a base for my partner and I to explore Quito! It is so central and only a short fifteen minute drive to the main historic centre. There are plenty of excellent restaurants within a two minute walk that will cater to anyone’s food interests. The property itself was luxury to say the least and it felt as though we were staying in a presidential suite! The owners are a lovely couple and were so hospitable to us, welcoming us into the home with open arms as soon as we arrived. They did not hesitate to help us with our queries on what to do and gave us excellent recommendations that turned out to be immensely beneficial to the activities we took part in. Our bedroom was comfortable and they always gave us our own space wherever we were in the house. The views of the surrounding mountains and city were breathtaking also and it was delightful to sit and look out while we planned what we were going to do each day. 10/10 would recommend this stay to anyone. If I ever return I will refuse to stay anywhere else other than the Penthouse Lodge B & B!

We received a free upgrade for the room which had direct access to a small garden whilst our children could access the same garden in the adjacent room. Both rooms were really spacious . The hotel has a romantic, pleasant atlosphere with agood breakfast and nice places to relax both inside and outside. At breakfast we were offered, eggs, fruit, youghurt, croissants, juice, coffee, tea etc. Various restaurants are close by.
The old town can be reached by taxi (or Uber).
