Good location and cozy place to stay. At first I wasn’t feeling great—maybe because of the altitude or just travel fatigue—but the room was clean and cozy, and I started to feel much better during my stay. The staff were incredibly kind and always greeted me with a smile, which made the stay feel safe and welcoming. I’d happily stay here again!

I had a wonderful experience at Betsy Hotel. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in, to the cleaning staff was delightful and eager to help! They were extremely accommodating and allowed me to check in early at like 8 am, and waited for me at the airport that early. Betsy and Bruke took me to a wonderful cultural space on my first night to get to the soul of Ethiopia, with live music and dance and lovely traditional drinks. As a solo (woman) traveler, I felt very safe in the location and took advantage to walk to dinner, check out a couple of monuments and the National Museum, and have drinks. They also organized for me a week trip to the south of Ethiopia to visit the tribes and Bruke also came with me! This journey has been the most profound and interesting experience of my life, I could enjoy the traditional dances and singing, a wedding ceremony, a face painting by the kids, and the jungle, among many other things. I was there for my birthday, and Bruke made sure that I had the most amazing birthday, with a surprise cake, a ceremony from the Dorze people, a hotel with a view of the biggest lakes in Ethiopia, etc. I highly recommend staying with them if u want to experience the essence of the Ethiopian heart! You will have a great time! :)

I liked the cleanliness of the rooms. Spot clean! Not just the rooms, the entire hotel is very clean. The bed was very comfortable. I stayed for 6 nights and the place felt like home away from home. Breakfast was more of Ethiopian cuisine, but I liked that I could order eggs, which were not part of the breakfast menu. The display was very appetizing and they had a wide variety to choose from. Wonderful reception from staff.I liked that they were also helpful in assisting with the Ride service since you need to have a local number to access the service. Location of the hotel was excellent. It's on the roadside, with the traditional markets and other eateries just a walking distance. I could actually see the beautiful Addis from the window of my room.

Fantastic stay and hospitality. Haile, the owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They received me after midnight and guided my taxi driver to find the location, helped with ATM/bank issues, provided me with detailed information about Addis and traveling around Ethiopia. Room is spacious, has a TV table that serves as a working desk. A hot shower. Morning coffee or tea. Don't let the location discourage you, this spot is very convenient, just a few minutes from the city train and close to one of the bus stations (Lamberet Menaharia). I enjoyed restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. Shola market which is right next to the apartments is great. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was very spacious and clean. All the staff were exceptionally gentle, polite, and friendly, making every effort to accommodate our requests. One highlight was the coffee ceremony held every Saturday at the hotel, which was truly impressive.
