The hotel is located in a ship with a varied history - used during wartimes, but also for trade, then for a playboy‘s party life, it had been left unused for many years before the current owners restored it. Hotel rooms are designed as cabins with en-suite bathrooms, breakfast and drinks are served in the upper deck. We loved the design of the rooms and common areas - high quality and nicely classic without any kitsch. Service was impeccable, and while breakfast was rather simple, the bar served very creative cocktails. Certainly a very unique experience!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying in Des’s beautiful Langley penthouse in Edinburgh, and I can honestly say it made our trip just as memorable as the city itself. The apartment was spotless, spacious, and incredibly well-equipped from fun family games to every little convenience you could possibly think of. The sea view from the penthouse was simply breathtaking, and we loved waking up to it every morning. One of the standout features was the detailed guidebook. It covered everything: how to get into the apartment, which buses to take, local attractions, and nearby gems worth exploring. It saved us so much time and made our stay absolutely stress-free. The location itself couldn’t have been better — with a bus stop nearby( bus 11 very frequent), getting around was effortless. Above all, Des himself was an exceptional host. He was warm, polite, and thoughtful in every interaction. His care and attention to detail truly set this stay apart. Edinburgh is a city of unmatched beauty, and staying in Des’s penthouse felt like the perfect reflection of that beauty. This wasn’t just accommodation; it was a complete leisure experience for our family. We cannot recommend this place highly enough, and we would return in a heartbeat.

We've had an amazing stay at Mike's place. The apartment is about 3 minutes from a tram stop (Newhaven) and all check in instructions were very clear. We've had everything we needed in the apartment and it was very cozy and clean. Comfortable bed, possibility to use the stove, electric kettle and also some spices from the kitchen counters. We felt really safe and really liked the neighbourhood (we recommend to take a walk to the harbour and have some fish and chips!). Edinburgh is a lovely city to explore some nice cafes and the Harry Potter vibe, and Mike's place made it even better for us! We really enjoyed the stay. Thank you :)

The location is great, quiet but close to shopping, bars, food and places of interest. The hotel is unique, loved how the ships features have been incorporated to retain the authenticity. Staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they made it feel special. Extra little touches are always appreciated and Fingal gets that just right. Food on board is excellent and highly recommended. Fabulous place to stay.
