Our host, Louise was very helpful and friendly, since we had a problem with our hired car. She offered us even her mobile to contact the car rental company. Each day she gave us a new bag with some snacks and tee and coffee bags. The room was clean, nice bathroom and the beds were comfortable. Everything well maintained. We had the superior double room on the backside, very noise free room. The only shortcoming, the room was a bit small as usual in UK. 14 m2 is not that much 😉. So, if you need more space, book the “Superior double or two bedrooms”. On the backside of the guest house, you can park your car, enough space, just be carefully driving your car through the somewhat tight entryway. So, all in all we were very satisfied.

The accommodation at Prestonfield House and the quality of service is out of this world. From the rooms, decor, setting and grounds to the quality of the service, food and staff, I would say a rating of 10/10 is too low. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it will go down as a special moment in our memories. And we are definitely planning to return.
