If you're a bit antsy about heights or have vertigo, probably avoid the Tube. Some of those escalators are actually terrifying, especially going down. Bus service is well nifty though and it's cashless so you can just pay with your phone. Good city as well. Lots going on. Felt safe there.

Loved how much there was to do.

Loved how much there was to do. Hop on hop buses are a mixed bag - not all reliable and be prepared to walk everywhere in a wave of people, rushing in all directions. It can be quite overwhelming if not prepared. Christmas lights everywhere were so pretty!

The best is to be in London during the week, the city is not so busy and people can enjoy visiting all the places without queues. What I do not like much is the atmosphere on the weekend because everything was crowded and traffic jams, etc.

London is a marvelous city, worth visiting again and again.

London is a marvelous city, worth visiting again and again. I think the first visit should focus on main touristic attractions. The London Eye is worth visiting. Tickets for all relevant attractions can be purchased at the end of your visit to the first one, at a much better rate.

Great city. Loads to see.

Great city. Loads to see. The area around Greenwich is worth a visit. Stunning view from the observatory. We stayed at Dulwich due to a friends party there. This is also a hidden gem. Richmond on the way home. Lovely walk along the Thames.

Staff were very friendly. The hotel is undergoing what looks like a full refurbishment in the main hotel which we did not know when booking however this did not affect our stay at all, this meant we stayed in one of the apartments at the back which was beautiful and included a kitchen/dining room. Location is perfect for travelling into London and the surrounding areas. Very modern and clean accommodation.

The location is excellent and very central, approx 10min walk from Liverpool St station and Shoreditch. The apartment is relatively big for London and compared to a hotel room. The price is cheaper than most 4 star hotels, and there are kitchen facilities and a washing machine. A good option if you need more space and laundry/kitchen but not very convenient in terms of hosting.

Hotel DC does the simple stuff brilliantly. Spotless, welcoming, comfortable, generous and excellent value for money, this kind oasis is exactly what London needs. Having stayed in over 100 hotels and apartments in the capital, this destination has become my standout goto.

Great location. Small room. Clean. If you level your expectations and take a look at the pictures, you will be fine. London is not known to be cheap and also its hotels are comparably lower in quality compared to other European countries (e.g. Germany, Switzerland, Italy)
