The size of the room was very good, as was the size of the 2 twin beds. The tea and coffee-making facilities in the room were excellent. Staff both on check-in and check out were helpful and friendly. The location was good and with access to the town.

Last week my wife and I were visiting family in the North East and for the first time in over 5 years we stayed at the Hilton Gateshead. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. We knew when we booked that our room was not looking across the river to Newcastle so while the view from the window wasn't brilliant, it was exactly as we expected. The room was spacious, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel fitness centre was excellent and well equipped. The pool is a good size and the sauna and steam room were at temperature already when the centre opened up in the morning. The breakfast was superb and plentiful, the staff were genuine, approachable, effective and beyond helpful in every way. We were very, very impressed.
