Ideal location right in the heart of Città Alta. Major historical, artistic and architectural monuments, museums, and theater within walking distance. Administration and staff of Mimmo very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival I was helped to get luggage upstairs. Emphatic environment and service, respecting privacy. Breakfast delicious, it was served with a smile right nextdoor to the entrance to the house.

The apartment "Casa Vacanze Gombito" was impeccably clean, comfortable, well equipped, careffuly decorated/romantic (representing the old citty of Bergamo itself), greatly located in the heart of the beautiful old city, few minutes walk from the short cable car ride where you could get easily public bus to the railway station or even airport. Beautiful room placed at the center of town, the host lets you reserve a parking spot 300 meters away, so super easy to get there by car. The cleaning personnel was really friendly too. All in all a perfect spot for a few days in Bergamo.

Staying at Porta Antica was probably the most comfortable and pleasant accommodation I experienced in Bergamo. As a relatively new property, everything feels fresh and spotlessly clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive — they even asked about my condition right after check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. The location is ideal. Just a 2-minute walk from the funicular stop in the upper town (Città Alta), it’s surrounded by charming local shops and a mini supermarket, making the area feel both lively and safe. All the main sights are within walking distance, so it’s easy to pop back into the room for a break during the day. During my stay, I enjoyed early morning runs through the old town — the views along the city walls are stunning, and grabbing a morning coffee at the famous La Marianna café made for the perfect start to the day. The room was equipped with Illy coffee, a nice touch that made me feel like I was truly in Italy. The hairdryer was surprisingly powerful, which was a big plus for me. The staff responded to messages quickly and always with a warm, helpful attitude. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Bergamo, I absolutely recommend Porta Antica. It was a flawless experience from start to finish!

Gorgeous, cute apartment right in the centre of Bergamo's Old Town, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our hostess, Titiana was amazing, she couldn't have been more helpful. She organised taxis for us (Mr. Gianni, who was again very kind and helpful and very reasonably priced) and was very prompt in replying to any query we had. We couldn't have asked for more and look forward to visiting again.

Palazzo Salvecchio is fantastic accommodation. It's right in the heart of the old town, yet on a super quiet laneway so close to everything, but peaceful in the apartment. Hosts checked in on us a couple of times during the stay just to make sure all was OK. They couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Apartment itself is spacious and really comfortable. Loved our time staying there as a base to explore Bergamo.
