Stunning ryokan with beautiful onsen. The kaiseki meal was spectacular although as we were a family group, they served us in a dining hall of sorts, which had bright lighting and little atmosphere. Definitely would have been nicer to dine in our beautiful rooms. A beautiful ryokan all round. We reserved the private family onsen as our kids were laggy about bathing with strangers, and it worked perfectly.

The service and food were excellent. Although we didn’t speak much Japanese, we still received the best quality service and accommodation. We’d love to visit again.

The property was in a great little town, very beautifully maintained. The staff were very accommodating and took time to translate via Google when needed. The food and service were amazing.

The private bath in the room was amazing and we used it many times during our short one-night stay. The facility was huge with sprawling, beautiful forest views and even a koi pond! There were many free refreshments provided during our stay like alcoholic / soft drinks, tea / coffee in a dedicated room open all times, ice cream, ramen, etc.

Such a unique place. Enjoyed finally having some comfy couches to relax in! Very well fitted out with absolutely everything you could need. Centrally located to all the sights. This would be a great place for a group of people as there is so much seating and even two kitchens. Highly recommend.

The location is great and having the sound of the river was really relaxing. The room in japanese style was very beautiful, spacious and comfortable! The staff was really nice and the breakfast delicious!
