When we arrived to this place it felt like stepping into a fairy tale. It was so beautiful! We loved every second of this amazing experience. We felt so relaxed and cared for. The staff and the food was amazing (they even made vegan food for me and pescetarian for my boyfriend - and it was just perfect). We will cherish this memory forever. (Picture of the breakfast.)

The service of the staff was amazing from before arrival through after our stay. Before arrival, i bombarded them with dozens of questions, and they responded promptly and helpfully to each one of them. During our stay, we had a personal butler attend to our dinner, bedding, and every need. During check-out, there was a little hiccup with arranging our bags for delivery to our next hotel, but the staff offered to personally deliver our luggage instead which ensured our travel plans were not affected in any way.

The room was very modern and spacious with a very large bathroom and shower, plus a large sofa area. It was also very close to the JR station which was only a 15 minute ride to Kyoto main station.

Excellent Ryokan in a beautiful river valley just northwest of Kyoto. Dinner by the river was magical and the room was comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful, making a great experience.

Basically, everything about this property, it's in a good location centrally to some of Kyoto's most famous landmarks. Staff were beyond pleasant and easy to deal with. The property is amazing (unfortunately, my wife wants me to recreate something similar in Australia 🤣). I couldn't recommend it highly enough, would 10/10 rebook this property.

A beautiful 100 year old Japanese Farmhouse in a delightful countryside. An authentic experience with very kind and helpful hosts. We had dinner and breakfast prepared for us by our host and it was generous and delicious. We harvested fresh vegetables from the garden. The couple who were our hosts were very kind and generous. They drove us to see some other places and helped us with anything we needed. Also, good English was spoken which made our stay easy and enjoyable as we could ask many questions. I hope we can visit again one day, highly recommend for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of traditional Japanese life in the countryside.
