The location, the staff, the politeness, the impeccable condition of the hotel and our room as well as the fantastic facilities and safety.
The manager called Yumi( sorry for any mispronunciations) was super helpful and shipped my forgotten denims. Never have I seen someone so helpful and wonderful. Kudos to all of them. This was hands down our favourite stay during our entire trip.

The building and the facilities are great . Elegant, with a nice balance between tradition and modernity . The stuff was more than kind and they made us feel at home . The Japanese garden and the bar there are a plus . The breakfast (traditional) and dinner are amazing ! made with love and great ingredients . The kimonos they gave us to walk though the hotel were cute and comfy :)

Serene location, just outside the busy city to slow down. The small train nearby just takes around 20 min which takes you to the city. Would recommend the japanese breakfast in the morning and have a drink in the evening at the bar. We loved our stay here!

Everything was clean and very nice
Only minus is that the hostel is quite far away. It doesent look like it, but its like 1 hour by bus to bamboo forest or thousend torris
The check in process was little bit long and tiring.
Also there are two buildings! One where you sleep and second one when the zen garden is . Its like 5 min walk away from each other

I must say that everything else was perfect. I had some minor problems with the door lock, but they were immediately solved. The hosts are very kind and care for guests as if they were part of the family. I could enjoy a small courtyard, and the inn is very convenient if you need to visit Kyoto University.
