We had lovely two nights in Mozumo. We had a room with our own hot bath which was an amazing experience. Quiet location, still near the bus station. Minimalistic and luxurious interior. Rooms had some nice beauty products. Breakfast and dinner were great experiences: miso cooked on top of a large leaf and rice cooked with traditional kamameshi pot was very memorable.

Very close to the bus station, we stopped here on our way from Matsumoto to Takayama.
Japanese-style room (ryokan), on the table a Japanese tea set (a teapot and bowls) with good sencha tea is waiting.
The available natural hot springs are a great place to rest and relax.
Meals in an atmospheric atmosphere in a yakuta with haori. Dinner is really delicious, quite decent fine dining. Breakfast is equally good.

The house was beautifully presented and spotless. Excellent onsen bathing for private use. Breakfast was superb. Most of all, the couple who run the onsen were so friendly, welcoming and helpful with excellent English. Nothing was too much trouble - we felt very much at home. Great walks from the house.

An exceptional ryokan - it incorporates both elegance and warmth. Amazing Japanese Kaiseki cuisine experience! Best ryokan meal experience I have ever had. Picturesque open onsen and available on private reservations too. Excellent staff - they are very thoughtful and helpful.
