This may have singlehandedly been the best ryokan I've stayed at in my few trips to Japan to date. The ryokan's bathing facilities are top notch, and having visited a few of the other Kurokawaonsen ryokan onsen before checking in (making use of the Nyuto Tegata onsen-hopping pass, which allows you to visit up to three onsens within the limits of Kurokawaonsen in the course of a day), including Yamamizuki, I believe that Noshiyu's onsens are up there amongst the best. Turning to the food, the booth allocated to me/my room in the dining room both for dinner and breakfast was exquisite, alike the cooking and the high quality ingredients used for my two meals. My room (the Yamabuki) was one of the biggest I have stayed at at a ryokan, and has its own mini onsen. All in all, an amazing accommodation experience which met and slightly surpassed my expectations.

Greeted by friendly receptionist, rooms are huge even for a family of 6. Food and on-sen are exceeded our expectation. One particular receptionist could speak Mandarin and she made our stay so comfortable.

What an extraordinary stay! We had one of our best nights in Japan at Okyakuya!
From the first minute the service was outstanding, our baggage was transported to our room, car parked. Great room, even tough traditional it was modernized keeping its original charm.
Both dinner and breakfast where amongst the best we had in any Ryokan we stayed at.
After checking out we where offered additional towels as we wanted to explorer other Onsens in town

Beautiful location with the sounds of the river in the background. I have multiple tattoos and was able to use any of the 6 private onsens without issue.
