Perfect for spending one or two nights relaxing. Sit in your private onsen and watch the trees in the evening eat the dinner at the hotel. It is a sumptuous six course Japanese meal. Between sashimi, great sushi and hida beef you won’t be disappointed. The price is well worth it! You can easily reach it by bus from takayama and it is a nice walk to the hirayu waterfall. Definitely recommended for some peace and quiet.

Everything, the dinner and breakfast was probably the best Ryokan food I ever had (and I had many). The location was so close to everything, especially the bus station, and on the way we could always say hello to Taro-kun, the village shiba. It was also really nice to be able to enjoy the private onsen with my partner. I think the owners should also update the booking.com profile and add photos of the onsen and food as it would be beneficial, I have booked this based on the great reviews on both Google and Booking.com, but some people may pass on this lovely ryokan due to lack of photos.

The staff was very helpful and super friendly. We enjoyed the time in the hotel onsen, which had a nice outdoor area. The rooms were very spacious, clean and bright and we liked especially the traditional japanese style. The cherry on top was the food. The breakfast and dinner were of such a great variety that we felt that we got a good impression of traditional japanese dishes. The taste and presentation of each dish was amazing. The hotel location is also great since it is only 2 minutes by foot away from the bus terminal were we took a bus to Kamikochi which only took 30 minutes. The town itself is very small and has one convenience store.

After hiking at kamakochi; very nice onsen, all you can eat buffet with traditional japanese food, very comfy bed, japanese style room, massage chairs, you get japanese pyamas where you can walk all day in (even to the restaurant). Completly relaxing.
