Very beautiful place and nature around! The apartment is very cozy and big. The bedroom is in traditional Japanese style with comfortable beds,we loved it. The onzen directly in the apartment is great! It is very relaxing and beautiful place.
The food in the restaurant is very traditional and unique —> for western people: might be challenging, especially with kids. But we really enjoyed it!

Writing this after coming back from Japan. Mozumo is the one place that made my trip 10 times better. Beyond the facilities and the insanely good food, It felt so special. Bear in mind this place is not for everybody as their checkin and eating times are very restrictive (because It's private setting), but I'm telling you It's all worth It. From the high-end van they picked me up with from the station to the huge room, the Michelin star food, the private onsen in the room, everything was magical. There is only one warning, try to be there while there is still snow and It's still cold, otherwise the onsen is gonna be way too hot. I was here alone, but can't think of a better place to stay with your partner for a cozy weekend too. One last thing: meals are served on a private setting (not a restaurant), and I had the most magical view of the snow while dinning and having breakfast. Unforgettable.

Let me tell you - this was probably THE best experience we have ever had. Exceptional suite, very kind, friendly and helpful staff, amazing food. While we did not particularly enjoy every single dish due to personal preferences, but the overall food quality and variety was really amazing.
To anyone currently staying and wondering if you should wear provided Japanese traditional clothes to dinner and breakfast - do it, they are provided for a reason. Also, they are really comfortable.
Every room has a private open-air bath (onsen), shower and a toilet (even though a toilet is listed as shared, that is just a mistake).
This is a must do when you are visiting Japan. We wish we could have stayed at least one more night.
Exceeded all of our expectations, would definitely come back again. Huge thanks to all staff.

Amazing food and super friendly and helpful staff. The room sizes were huge as well which was a welcom change from what we had been experiencing so far in Japan.

Location is perfectly close to Hirayu bus station. Very large room compared to other facility in Japan. Private onsen available if noone is using. Great services including abundant Japanese breakfast. Besides hotel onsen, you also get free voucher to use public onsen near by, which usually costs 700 yen per person. It is a hotel where the owner takes good care of and pays attention to details. Good restaurants near by in case you want to have more options

Beautiful surroundings, complete rest while being in the Ryokan. Good bus connection of 1.5 hours from Takayama, given the distant location. Very nice staff, absolute great food and plenty Onsen options private or public.
