The hostel is located at the end of the hill, giving an amazing sea view. Their facilities are good, and their free yet huge breakfast menu is great. This is a family-owned business, and they wonderfully take care of their guests. The AC in the room was good and chilling, just how I like it when I sleep so, it was perfect for me.

Rise was an absolute hit when it comes to accommodation in the Weligama area. The location is perfect, very close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The room was spotless, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and it was spacious enough for us to comfortably unpack. The bed was large and comfortable, and the linens and towels were clean. Breakfast was perfect as well, several options to choose from and truly excellent coffee that set a positive tone for the day. And of course, we have to mention the restaurant, which serves the most delicious pizza! A few bites and you feel like you’ve been transported straight to sunny Italy. We were genuinely impressed by how incredible the food was. And finally, the most important part: the owners. We felt truly welcomed, they helped us, advised us, and were simply wonderful. I hope I’ll have the chance to return soon. - clean, spacious room with comfortable bed - close to the beach - helpful staff - delicious breakfast with fantastic coffee - room smells great as well as towels and linen - good value for money - wonderful hosts, we felt right at home
