Staff always think for others.Our set out time was early.After know that, they propose to cook breakfast for us in advance. The room is big, clean and comfortable.

Gorgeous property - we had an upper floor room with a balcony overlooking the lush gardens. Little chipmunks and butterflies on the balcony really added to the ambience! We went in rainy/off season so we got a great rate and the occasional rain added to the tropical jungle feel! (It actually only rained 1/4 days we were there at the start of June). Bedroom is decorated beautifully and is very spacious. Bathroom is half outdoors but covered by a net so no big bugs get in. Shower powerful and hot. Breakfast was plentiful - fresh fruit, eggs, toast, tea and a fresh fruit smoothie. Pool was beautiful and felt like being in the gardens of Babylon! The location was great and close to plenty of eateries. Some were closed due to off season but we enjoyed traditional curries (at a good price) in Sun and Sea hotel across the road and La Boheme did wood fired pizzas. It was a 5 min walk from the beach and a short walk or tuk tuk to turtle beach.

Decoration of the property was really beautiful. Everything was very comfortable and clean. Great location to visit Galle fort. The food at the restaurant was also very good!! Great chef!

The most memorable feature of this beautifully curated and remarkable small boutique hotel is the warmth and friendliness of owners Maneyika and Charles. The staff and service levels are exemplary and the breakfasts, ordered directly off the a la carte menu, especially delicious and accompanied by Maneyika’s own handmade croissants, baked freshly for you. Oh, and the best coffee, yes truly, in all Sri Lanka. Take note that this charming little place is in the heart of a colorful heritage neighborhood and strict limits are imposed on what can and cannot be done in converting the building into an hotel. Please don’t come with expectations of luxury hotels with all the trappings and expect instead the feeling that you are an honored guest in the company and home of genuine and creative friends.
