It’s super basic, which is expected at that price. But it’s gorgeous little place and has an incredible solemn and calming atmosphere. And Ahmed is a wonderful man, calm, helpful and very polite. I would go back to Chefchaoune just to stay there…

Loved this place! Great location. It’s about 10 mins walk to city centre but away from the windy road. The taxi will drop you right outside so you don’t have to drag your suitcases. We got an upgrade to a room with a view. Hot water was good (need to wait couple of minutes for it to come through). We had ample amount of blankets. The breakfast was simple and great. The kitchen where you sit for breakfast was cold but that’s normal. Our host helped us get taxi and gave recommendations(but was never pushy). They kept our luggage safe on our last day while we explored the place. Would highly recommend this place.

This small Riad is located almost at the top of hill, to get there you need to carry your luggage on multiple stairs but the staff is extremly helpful and manage this for you, the rooms are newly completed and in good state, the food served was nice and meets a hungry stomach needs, very friendly staff and looks like a riad that is growing in size.

My stay at the Iguana Azul was simply wonderful! If you are looking for a place to relax, quiet, with breathtaking views and extremely kind staff, Iguana is everything you could want to spend extremely happy days in Chefchaouen. Starting with the location, which when you arrive in the vicinity of the Medina you will walk about 5 minutes to reach the accommodation. It is located inside the medina, close to all points of interest, picturesque streets, restaurants, cafes. Speaking of coffee, you will have a transcendental experience when you have breakfast beautifully organized by the iguana staff. In addition to being delicious and filling, the view is stunning, to the mountains. I loved to spend at least two hours of my day there relaxing. There is also, on the floor above, a decorated Rooftop, where you will have a panoramic view of the blue city 🫂 The employees are there to help with everything necessary, such as visiting tips, buying tickets, recommending restaurants and whatever else is necessary.
