This lovely oasis is set in the middle of a bustling city. They have preserved so much of the original building and incorporated it beautifully into the very modern hotel they've created. Nothing is ovverdone. My room was understated and comfy, the bed was great, and the large bathroom had nice little touches that other places I have stayed in do not bother with anymore. And for me, having an elevator was a treat! The breakfast buffet was a lovely spread, covering all food groups. Plus, the staff is right there to take your order for hot food if you wish. The dining area was well-lit and spacious. The staff was warm and friendly and did not roll their eyes upon learning that I did not speak Portuguese. They helped me find where I needed to go and worked out a path on the map. I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay and wish I could have stayed longer. I felt well taken care of and would happily return!

Family hotel with a feeling of love have been shared through plenty of small details. Best part was the design concerning reception hall, room, floors.. staff was friendly, opened and kind. Very cozy hall on the first floor with the and cookies 24 hours. It also has its garden.

The staff was so sweet and chatty and indulged us as we attempted to speak Portuguese. The room service and breakfast was great and the beds were soft. It's basically the Four Seasons without the snooty attitudes and inflated prices.

I am a hotelier and currently running a short-leasing company and I have to admit Pedro and Tiago are by far the best hosts I've met, Extremely friendly, professional and informative about the city and ofcourse the property. I booked this place not knowing the bathroom was shared, regardless due to the cleanliness in the entire place I was very comfortable, impeccable and homie place and the beds are very comfy. Keep the great job guys.

The place was in a great location, easy walking distance to explore city. Owner was really communicative and responsive and check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The room was big with everything you need. There is also a kitchen area to prepare food outside the room and make coffee which was great. They have a washing machine too and space to hang out your clothes afterwards.
