This is an excellent hostel located in the Kampong Glam area near the Sultan Mosque. It is pretty close to Bugis MRT station, especially if you are careful about your route and head, for example, via Beach Rd and Duo Apartments/Mall. There is really great live music at BluJaz and a pretty fun night life right nearby, and it really can't be beat for the price.
But the best is the hostel staff. Several workers and managers are former employees at one of the five-star hotels in Singapore, and they do an outstanding job of customer service, personalized care, etc. I had the best time! They treated me like a rock star. Seriously it was a wonderful experience.
Plus the hostel is set up very well. The pods are not overly stacked, so I never felt I was in anyone's way. The public area is well-furnished and there were fun late-night convos going on and some good socializing. The bathroom and shower facilities were great—and there are shoe lockers there so the practice of removing shoes is well thought out.
I had a great time. Definitely suited me very well.

Historic building beautifuly restored. The room was large and extremely comforatable so was the bed. The location was perfect in the interesting Arab quarter and excellent for sightseeing. The staff was very very friendly letting us keep the room for an additional hour. The restaurant on site serves absolutely delicious food. Breakfast is not available.

Absolutely fantastic budget friendly accommodation in Singapore. We had a skylight room (no window) but the communal areas were so great we didn't feel at all confined. Lots of storage in the room, too, and I slept incredibly well as the beds and pillows were so comfy. The location was also great, close to several metro stations, 7-eleven, shopping centres and restaurants. The staff were great, the facilities were superb, and it didn't break the bank. We will definitely be back next time we are in Singapore!
