Simply everything! The staff couldn’t be more attentive and friendly, making sure to go above and beyond for you. The location is top notch; close to cute little local eateries and coffee shops, but not touristy at all (like the north). It has an AMAZING view of the ocean and the beach, with a beautifully located swimming pool next to it. The food is amazing, which you rarely see in a hotel — same as the breakfast. They serve western and local Thai dishes. Even the coffee is amazing, with a professional machine and barista. The beds are super comfortable, the gardens and everything is very well maintained. There’s even a cute cat! Be sure to rent a scooter to experience the best of the island without the hassle of waiting for your ride. We cannot wait to come back to Koh Lanta, and stay here again. This resort is a must! An oasis on an already beautiful and laid back island.

I loved this place so much. The location near the national park was secluded and quiet. The view over Bamboo beach and the surrounding hills beautiful, peaceful and healing. The staff were friendly, helpful and worked hard to maintain the property in excellent condition. It was perfect for what I needed.

We had a great stay at Matcha Lanta. Lovely French owners. We were able to rent a scooter and have our laundry washed within 24h. 2min walk to the beach and a 7eleven. Owners recommended a boat excursion to Koh Rok which was great. Also they’ve built a pool which should be functional pretty soon I’d say. Definitely recommend staying there.

Maybe one of the best accommodations at this range of cost in Thailand. Great location close to old Town, great stuff, big room and bath, very clean, daily water supply, motorbike rentals on site, big veranda. You must pick it up without thinking!
