The hotel is lovely, but the staff, amenities and the location are the real stars. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and bright. The staff were very welcoming, extremely pleasant and helpful. A wonderful breakfast and afternoon wine/cheese were provided with the stay, as well as coffee and cold beverages all day - what a bonus! The location couldn't have been better - near to the waterfront, Rainbow Row and the Battery park. We were lucky to be there on a day when the hotel provided a short complimentary guided-tour of the harbor/park/surroundings along with an interesting and informative historical overview of Charleston. All in all, one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had.

This property exceeded all my expectations. From the welcoming glass of champagne to the checkout, everything was perfect. It was my birthday trip. I mentioned it at check in, and the manager sent a bottle of champagne to my room with a nice personal note. The room was large, attractively appointed with a spacious bathroom. The food was abundant and delicious. The complimentary breakfast, wine and appetizers, and cookies were complimentary. There were containers of candies available at any time. The staff was also outstanding. I can’t say enough about this hotel.

The room was large and very well appointed, with comfortable seating, a huge bed, and a nice desk for working. I liked the decor, which gave a sense of heritage to the hotel. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, and the shower was hot and powerful - there was an abundance of towels! I enjoyed the self-service breakfast each morning, and appreciated hot, fresh coffee being available all morning. The hotel has an excellent location, close to the market and a short walk to anywhere in the historical district. During my stay I walked everywhere and only needed to take alternative transport when travelling to and from the airport. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I felt well taken care of throughout my stay - the turn down service was very nice.

The most amazing experience. The house is exquisite, and the wonder is kind enough to let you wander así if it was your own. Have breakfast in the dining room, read a book in the library, cocktails in the ball room. Impossible not to get the feel of the historic charming south!!’ And the staff is beyond words, friendly and on top of every detail. You couldn’t ask for more. Thank you, thank you!!!!
