I had a long stay at the Marriott and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and its staff. I was staying there on my own and the minute the staff realised that, they made me feel at home and no ask or request was too big or too small. The rooms at the Marriott are modern, spacious, clean and housekeeping do an excellent job every day. The location is also perfect and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. I want to give a special shout out to Serena on the front desk reception - she is the prime example of exceptional customer service. She is a 10/10 across the board - you won't find anymore more friendly or helpful. If I ever go back to Del Mar, I know that I will be staying at the Marriott. Thank you to all the staff there for making my stay so enjoyable and pleasant, I really appreciated it!

The structure is partially updated, but is 80%... 80's style, but I liked it. My room was tidy, all furniture were in excellent condition, also the bathroom. The choice is almost complete for both types of breakfast - sweet or not. Hot coffee is available also deca. The waiters could be offer other hot beverages, but I didn't ask. No plain yogurt was available. The space to have a table is enough, there's also a little garden outside with some tables. All staff personnel was kind and smile-ready.

Situated right on the beachfront, the location can’t be beat. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to store our luggage as we arrived early via Uber. Comfy bed and the room was quiet. Great features such as filtered water and espresso machines and an honesty bar too. The outdoor lounge area with music is such a nice touch. The nearby grassy knoll park to the south is gorgeous too.
