This boutique hotel was amazing. The location is great, and close to lots of cafes and restaurants. Jeronimo, the owner was just great. Very friendly and very helpful. I had a medical issue and he was able to help me find a doctor very quickly, which made the rest of my trip more enjoyable. If I went back to Montevideo, I would defintely stay there again.

Zabilita is a compact, cosy and well equipped loft apartment with character. It is superbly located in one of the major, vibrant streets in the old town of Montevideo. Isabel went out of her way to allow us access after we arrived on the early ferry from Buenos Aires. She gave us lots of tips regarding places to visit, things to do, where to eat and what was going on locally. She kept in-touch all throughout our stay which was lovely.

Helpful staff, lovely ambience and room, good location for the old city area. We have booked to go back again.

Since April 1st we moved to a new, more modern, 6-story building located in the Old City, close to the main tourist attractions of the city.

Best location in Montevideo. Right opposite a street with bars, one block either way to the two main squares of the old town. Very safe at night - and the hostel is located in a beautiful historic building, formerly the early 20th century luxury "Hotel Artigas". 24 hour reception , kitchen, common room as well as a quiet room upstairs for laptop working

The room was clean,comfortable and serviced daily.Sleep quality was excellent.The location was perfect-in the heart of the Ciutad Vieja and close to all the sights there.I want to compliment the staff who were most helpful-Francisco,Oscar and Reuben,as well as the excellent ladies who prepared breakfast each morning...
