The property was practical and cute, in a renovated stone outbuilding belonging to a nice family. They run a husky-sledding business but the gîte is on a different part of the property and we didn’t see or hear any dogs (but if we had had more time I would have liked to).The gîte has 3 bedrooms: 2 with double bed, 1 with bunk beds and a nice bathroom with a good shower. Towels and sheets were included as well as final cleaning but the usual tidying is expected before leaving. Dogs are allowed which is fantastic and the floor is tiled throughout so bring a dog bed or mat. There was an additional bed sofa in the central living/dining room. It has a dishwasher, microwave, cooker, kettle, fridge, TV and free parking. There is a table and chairs outside too. We felt at home right away. The hosts were really nice and gave us extra sheets so that we could spread out. If you are driving from Switzerland to the south-west coast of France then this gîte lies perfectly at the mid-way point. It isn’t too far from the highway, but you feel as though you are in another world, surrounded by rolling hills and farms. We were lucky to get the gîte for one night, I think people usually stay longer.

Simply, yet perfectly furnished apartment with modern yet appropriately sourced and placed decorative pieces. Very comfortable bed and white linens (the best for rentals) & a great shower. The cleanliness was next level which was perfect for my OCD! All you could need was provided in the kitchen & dining space. We will be sure to stay again and in the Spring/Summer the out door space would be amazing too. Also you have access to the owners veg patch with permission! Amazing! Very thoughtful owners with many more developments to come. If you are in the area, it's a must stay!

This is a beautiful country house in a stunning part of France. The owners were amazing - loaning us swimming towels and being as kind and helpful as they could. The breakfast every morning was the best we’ve ever had - every kind of bread with home made jams and eggs from their own hens! Also a great shower and comfortable beds. Highly recommend this place if you get a chance to visit!

The Host was fantastic, he couldn't speak English but we managed to have a good conversation using Google. He is also a good cook. He cooked us an impromptu 3 course meal with wine, because all the local restaurants were closed. I highly recommend this place. It also has stunning views over the lake.

Dan & Eve are the most hospitable folk. They took us in at extremely short notice just before the snow started, took time to chat with us and gave us dinner suggestions in town, which was lovely. Their chateau on the hill is tucked away, affording privacy and charming views. Beautiful decor, warm bedroom with 2 water heaters in the room and 1 in the enormous ensuite with claw bath and twin sinks. Plentiful and very yummy breakfast that Eve kindly served us early so we could head off for the day.

Excellent, friendly helpful hosts who could not have done more for us. A beautiful setting close to Puy du Dom and Vulcania. First class cooked breakfast and superb recommendations for eveing meal which they booked for us. Lovely family willing to discuss their life choices. A really great place to stay.

Very easy to find, fantastic location. Comfy Clean accommodation, we visited with our Grandchildren and the extra Sofa Bed was superb. Great shower-room. AC was brilliant in both rooms
