We were a large group coming from Ireland to attend a wedding close by, and this was the ideal place to stay. It’s a beautiful, English countryside pub/guest house, with a warm, cozy vibe. Headed by the friendly owner, the staff couldn’t do enough for us all. Highly recommend.

Outstanding pub with rooms. Excellent staff and service. We had some unusual requests and all were addressed quickly, easily and without fuss. One of the best pubs I’ve stayed in. It isn’t fancy or pretentious. It’s a great place to stay when enroute somewhere and you need some courtesy and comfort.

The hotel was just reopening after a short break over Christmas and I believe we were the only guests that night. We received a warm welcome from Janet (top marks to her!) who also prepared our wonderful cooked-to-order breakfast the following morning. Our two family rooms were in the annex which was warm and cosy with spotless carpets. The rooms were also clean as a whistle and the beds were super comfy. We enjoyed our stay immenesly.

Caroline was very friendly and accommodating. Excellent communication and a very clean and comfortable room. What's more, we were in a local village for a big funeral, and the locals were all saying the food at the Elstead Inn (rooms are located in a barn to the back) all commented on how good the food was.

The apartment is in a lovely, quiet residential neighbourhood. We found it to be spotlessly clean, very spacious and with everything needed for an overnight stay. Richard and Iona were charming hosts and very informative. They were there to meet us upon our arrival and made us feel most welcome. We would highly recommend staying here.
