Family hotels and homes in Port of Ness

We had such a lovely time at this beautifully decorated cottage, exactly as shown in the pictures. From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home! Donald, is an incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive host. He was always available for any questions or issues, and even made sure to pump up the radiators manually when the temperatures here in Scotland suddenly dropped, which we really appreciated. The cottage is perfectly located, close to the stunning Butt of Lewis and several breathtaking beaches. It was such a nice and cosy feeling to come home after a long day outside. We felt so comfortable during our entire stay, and the serene surroundings made it all the more special. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and peaceful getaway!

The host left us an exceptionally generous welcome basket full of local goodies to enjoy over the course of our stay, all of the linens were absolutely lovely, and it was so cosy to watch the sunset from the upstairs picture windows. Sauna, rainfall shower, extremely well stocked kitchen for cooking (we’re foodies!) were all appreciated.

The location was great - enroute of the Hebridean Way. Breakfast was very good though no fresh fruit available. The evening meals were varied, delicious, and reasonably priced. There was a dry covered area for our bikes. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The house was beautiful and clean and a perfect size for our family of 5. It’s in a perfect location, a short drive from Stornaway so close to shops if needed. Surrounding area is beautiful and so peaceful and just a short walk down to the beach.
