I had a great stay at Mango Tree Homestay. The staff was very friendly and were able to check me in as soon as I arrived, even though it was hours before check-in. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and full of character. Overall a great value. Lakshmi, the proprietor made great dosas each morning, and Mustafa, the auto rickshaw driver, made exploring the surrounding ruins a breeze. I was actually most impressed with Mango Tree by something that happened after I checked out. I had just sat down to eat lunch at a restaurant when I suddenly began to feel very sick. Mustafa took be back to the hotel, stopping on the way to pick up some rehydration drinks. Lakshmi set up a bed for me even though I had already checkout out, and since I was having stomach trouble, even prepared a simple bowl of rice and curd (yogurt). They made a potentially difficult and dangerous situation far more manageable. This is the sort of treatment you'll never get at a big hotel or resort.

We had a lovely 3 nights at Sunrise Guest House, the setting is amazing and extremely peaceful. The sunrise and sunsets you can watch from the boulders were a highlight. The staff were very helpful and organised a Tuk Tuk with Ramu/Tillu brothers for the duration of our stay - highly recommend reaching out to Ramu too.

This place is great. Right in the middle of town. So close to everything. But more importantly, Krish and the people he connected us to were astonishing.
