Cute cottage with all the supplies we need to cook dinner. The microwave was also very useful. Overall, nice layout and the room was very comfortable for 3 people. The dining area was also nice for us to hang out.

Small guest house very close to the black sand beach, super quiet and cozy. A little off the beaten track but definitely worth it! Our rooms were very clean and the bathroom was spotless. Ragga (the owner) is very friendly and helpful! Totally relaxed atmosphere, we enjoyed our stay very much. Spectacular landscape right in front of the house, and horses!

When looking at the exterior of the building I didn't expect the room inside to be this nice. The room was spacious, very well equipped with everything you need and everything being very high-end quality. It was very clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The location was also a bonus, with supermarket right opposite.

The Barn is really a nice place. The room is very nice and modern. You can see the sunset. The common area of the place has a nice bar and the kitchen area in good standard and practical with a view to the sea. Tea and coffee available in the room, which is really nice.

The staff at the hotel were so lovely to us. There was a problem with one of the tvs in our family room, and they tried to sort it, but in the end couldn't resolve it. But they were so nice about it all, it didn't matter at the end of the day. We got the wake up call for the Northern Lights and were given great directions about which way to drive in order to see them. Loved the layout of the family room with the twin beds for the kids upstairs, and the double bed for us downstairs. Very comfortable beds too!!

We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers which gave us the privacy our teenagers prefer. Unfortunately though the TV was missing from the bracket in their area of the room which was a shame for them. The shower is amazing and so refreshing after a long day of travelling.

We wanted to stop overnight due to bad weather booked last min online whilst driving arrived to amazing clean welcoming place toys,games,comfy room, cozy relaxing places, great kitchen tea coffee and breakfast free baby food for those that needed excellent facilities and lovely staff location and view we even had a balcony

We arrived at the Vik Myrdal on a wet and windy Icelandic afternoon ahead of the scheduled check in, the staff were very accommodated and allowed us to check in a little early as our room was ready. We stayed in a family room that had a loft for the children, which they loved. Room included tea and coffee and had a large view to the mountains. Breakfast was plentiful and offered a great variety of foods.

We liked everything! The family room is very nice and even larger then I think. The galley has enough space for 2 teenagers to feel comfortable. The breakfast also excided our expectations.

Excellent location. Right in the center of town and very easy to get to the tourist hotspots such as Black Sand Beach, Katla Cave Tours, Lava Show etc Size of the rooms was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids with ample space for everyone. Kitchen was well furbished.

The hotel staff from the minute we arrived were super-helpful and the service levels were good throughout our stay. The bar space and decor is lovely and the food in the hotel restaurant at night excellent. Vik is not a huge town, but the hotel is well located - walking distance if you wanted to try other bars and restaurants in the area. The extra lounge space upstairs and games room, would be a definite bonus if you had teenagers or children with you.

Very nice hotel. Great breakfasts, nice location. We decided to stay there one more night. There were no problems at all. Last day, we had to leave early in the morning, cause wind conditions became worse. We got very good sandwich boxes cause it was too early for regular breakfast. Hotel service was helpful and professional. Family room is a great solution for traveling with children - it allows for privacy and being with children at the same time.
